- Randall E. Williams, MD, FACC, Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Williams is a 1987 graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors. He completed his training in internal medicine at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and subsequently served as chief resident. Dr. Williams took his subspecialty training in cardiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, specializing in the care of congestive heart failure and cardiac transplantation. In 1994, he was appointed instructor in medicine at Johns Hopkins University and served as a Howard Hughes research fellow under Nobel Laureate Dr. Daniel Nathans. In 1995, Dr. Williams was recruited to Northwestern University in Chicago as assistant professor of medicine to develop a congestive heart failure program at Evanston Northwestern Hospital. He subsequently developed one of the nation’s first and most successful provider programs for disease management and oversaw this program until 2003. During his tenure, he was actively involved in numerous clinical trials and served as principle investigator on several clinical outcomes evaluations of various disease management interventions.
In 1997, Dr. Williams was appointed to the Evanston Northwestern Medical Group Executive Committee, and oversaw the group’s IPA as Chairman of Care Management. In this role, he developed and oversaw the group’s care management department, providing quality and cost control programs for over 80,000 full risk and 40,000 partial risk lives. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology Medical Directors Institute and currently serves on the Disease Management Task Force, which advocates for quality standards and reimbursement methods for chronic coordinated care. He holds an appointment as assistant professor at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, and has performed research and published extensively on topics related to chronic disease and congestive heart failure outcomes. He is currently practicing cardiology with Midwest Heart Specialists, the largest single specialty cardiology group in Northern Illinois. Additionally, he is the president of The Williams Heart Foundation, an endowed medical research foundation.
- Bob Rivas, Vice President, Sales
Mr. Rivas is the company’s liaison with provider organizations and Veterans Administration leadership who wish to expand the reach, efficiency and effectiveness of their complex chronic condition care coordination programs and realize clinical and financial performance improvement. | More >

Mr. Rivas has more than 13 years of healthcare experience including three years as a practicing registered nurse and ten years in senior sales positions. His most recent positions prior to joining Pharos were vice president of sales for Atlanta-based WebVMC Telehealth and regional vice president of sales for Cogent Healthcare, Inc., a national hospitalist organization. Mr. Rivas earned a BS in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center.
- Bonni Kaplan, Vice President, Payer Account Management and Marketing
Ms. Kaplan holds joint responsibility for account management and marketing. In account management, Ms. Kaplan is responsible for nurturing Pharos Innovations’ relationships with its payer clients to ensure they receive best in class customer service and for continuous quality improvement and data analysis. Ms. Kaplan has more than 16 years of marketing communications experience. Prior to joining Pharos, she was the senior director of corporate marketing for Matria Healthcare, a disease management company, and director of marketing communications for Senior Lifestyle Corporation, a national provider of senior living communities. Ms. Kaplan received her BS in Journalism from the University of Maryland and is currently seeking a MS in Marketing Management.
- Audrey E. Hogan, RN, BSN, MHA, Vice President, Client Services

Prior to joining the Pharos team, Ms. Hogan was in charge of Audit and Accreditation for Optum Health, a United Health Group care and disease management company. Prior to that, she managed disease management vendor relationships for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina; was a maternal-child clinical nurse and designed, implemented and evaluated disease management programs. Ms. Hogan received her MHA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and BS in Nursing from Georgetown University.
- Chris Calhoun, Vice President & Chief Information Officer
Mr. Calhoun leads Pharos Innovations’ technology group to drive and execute all aspects of the company’s software development and IT requirements. This includes management, infrastructure, technology, innovation and policies and procedures, with a core focus on product innovation, scalability, process and efficiencies and speed to market. | More >

Mr. Calhoun has over 15 years experience in software development, 10 years in the healthcare market. In recent years he has managed the growth and development of several large-scale applications in healthcare including Patient Compass, a paper statement and web-based online patient billing application, which he started back in 2000 with HealthCom Partners, and was later acquired by McKesson in 2006. Mr. Calhoun managed all aspects of the growth and development of the application, which today hosts around 300 providers and provides online services for around 400,000 patients and millions of mailed statements. Mr. Calhoun has an extensive background in the software development lifecycle, product and project management, scalability, agile development and has worked closely with both large physician groups and hospitals as well as smaller ambulatory and physician practices. Prior to entering the healthcare market, Mr. Calhoun had managed custom web-based application development and integrated voice response (IVR) in the higher education and several other markets. Mr. Calhoun received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
- Christopher Raphaelian, MPH, Director of Medical Informatics
Mr. Raphaelian is responsible for Pharos Innovations’ medical informatics program. This includes the development of reliable, transparent and evidence-based program outcomes measures that help our clients prove the clinical and financial impact of their care coordination programs and identify opportunities for health management program enhancements. Pharos also use this information to continuously adapt and enhance programs to anticipate and proactively meet client needs and continue to offer care coordination programs that provide proof of industry best practice results. | More >

Mr. Raphaelian has 17 years of diverse healthcare experience. This includes contracting and analytics for two nationally-recognized academic physician practices and one private practice and HIPAA compliance consulting. His most recent experience prior to joining the Pharos team included senior analyst and project management positions at Focused Health Solutions and CorSolutions, two population health management companies, and American Imaging Management, a radiology imaging management company. In those roles, Mr. Raphaelian focused on the interpretation, integration, and management of medical and pharmacy claims and eligibility data sets; program analytics and reporting. Mr. Raphaelian received his MPH, with emphasis in Health Services Management, and BA in Organizational & Corporate Communications from Northern Illinois University.
